Oppo A80 5G Makes Debut; Slim, Speedy, and Surprisingly Stylish for its Price
Oppo A80 5G makes the debut. It’s one of those phones that dangles between the entry and mid-range class, cuts corners in some areas, but astounds in others. A80 has a solid feature roster. Nothing too competitive, mind you. Though, it does make a delightful budget handset.
At the front spans a 6.67” IPS display, and its bezel-to-screen distribution hits the sweet spot for balance. We see a minimal clean punch hole at the top and a not-so-advanced 8 MP selfie shooter that hides inside. Its refresh rate is high at 120Hz, though it could use better screen resolution than HD+.

It’s the same old story for the software: ColorOS 14 x Android 14 straight out of the box. The same goes for those rear-planted cameras. Nothing too innovative. Just your standard 50 MP + 2 MP configuration for quick snaps. Still, that ring flash is a nice touch.
On to the subject of performance now. This one makes use of a 5G-ready SoC; that’s obvious. Dimensity 6300 holds down the fort for processing while 8GB of RAM pulls the load for multi-tasking on the Oppo 5G latest smartphone. Then, we have up to 256 GB UFS 2.2 ROM to stock all your files.
